Role Overview
Senior Offshore Structural Engineer reporting directly to the Head of the Department at Technip Energies, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose
To provide senior-level structural engineering expertise in the design, analysis, and delivery of offshore structures, leading technical execution and assuming lead roles in new designs and modifications of existing structures while ensuring compliance with international codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Offshore Structural Design
- Lead design of fixed offshore structures including jackets, topsides, driven and drilled and grouted piles.
- Design floating structures including FPSO modules.
- Deliver design exposure to offshore bridges, flare structures, and associated steel structures.
- Execute new offshore structure design as well as modification of existing structures.
Structural Analysis
- Conduct in-service analyses including in-place, fatigue, and pushover assessments.
- Perform pre-service analyses including load-out, transportation, transportation fatigue, lift, launching, upending, and on-bottom stability.
- Execute accidental analyses for boat impact, seismic, and blast scenarios.
- Design secondary structures including structural joints, secondary beams, pipe and equipment support, monorails and access platforms, offshore structure buildings, lifting padeyes and trunnions, wind vortex shedding checks, J-tubes and riser clamps.
Technical Coordination
- Partner with vendors and subcontractors on technical review and interface management.
- Apply familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO, and QP/QG specifications to project delivery.
Analysis & Problem-Solving
- Demonstrate strong technical competence and problem-solving ability in complex structural engineering challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) in Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory).
- Master's degree (ME/M.Tech) with specialization in Structural Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Offshore Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in offshore structural design with strong technical competence and capability to assume lead roles when required.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in offshore structural analysis software including SACS and USFOS.
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS and ABAQUS (added advantage).
- Strong working knowledge of international offshore design codes and standards: API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL-RP-C203, AISC.
- Fluent in English.
