Boskalis is a global infrastructure and marine services company focused on creating sustainable solutions for complex projects driven by population growth, increased global trade, renewable energy demand, and climate change. The Hydronamic engineering department comprises approximately 80 people across different design disciplines, responsible for construction designs in tenders and acquired projects within the Dredging division.

Role Purpose

Transform expertise in infrastructure and dredging projects into high-quality 3D models and pragmatic 3D designs that balance speed and accuracy, delivering valuable insights and contributing to project success from design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Modeling

• Develop 3D designs and create models using software, tools, methods, and techniques.
• Coordinate models to optimally facilitate implementation of geometrical designs.
• Review and maintain 3D models throughout project phases.

Technical Review & Analysis

• Review drawing specifications and reference designs to gather necessary information.
• Determine modeling requirements for each construction phase.
• Identify interfaces, risks, and opportunities in project models.
• Assist with coordination across design disciplines.

Stakeholder Support

• Advise and support design and project teams on technical aspects and inquiries.
• Create animations to provide insight into processes and constructions.
• Guide and coach colleagues on development toolchain and Boskalis business practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Survey, or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime and/or dredging industry.
• Knowledge of Civil3D modeling software in combination with SubAssembly Composer and Navisworks.
• Experience working in and maintaining a common data environment.
• Knowledge of CAD-BIM standards, regulations, and guidelines.
• Proficient in English language.
