Role Overview
Senior Manager – Virtual City (CDU-018) at Qiddiya Investment Company. This role provides technical oversight and quality control of digital assets built in Unreal Engine within the Central Development Unit's Design Excellence vertical.
Company Overview
Qiddiya Investment Company operates the Central Development Unit (CDU), a center of excellence that sets standards and drives consistency across complex development projects. The Virtual City team is custodian of the Qiddiya City Unreal Engine, providing real-time visualization, simulation, and collaboration by linking GIS, BIM, and IMS data to guide development decision-making.
Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Virtual City is dedicated to technical oversight and quality control of digital assets within Unreal Engine. The role ensures all digital models integrating BIM, GIS, and engineering data comply with technical standards while maintaining excellence and streamlining workflows across the Qiddiya program.

Technical Standards & Compliance
- Ensure all digital models integrating BIM, GIS, and engineering data comply with technical standards and file structures.
- Develop, implement, and enforce technical standards for digital modeling to ensure compliance across all digital assets.
- Establish and maintain robust file structure, workflows, and documentation to support technical compliance.
- Implement and execute best practices for assets compliance and digital data management.
Digital Asset Management
- Oversee and maintain the quality and structure of digital models and assets in Unreal Engine.
- Maintain technical excellence and streamline workflows for digital asset management across the Qiddiya program.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of model updates from external consultants and designers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to digital assets integration and modeling.
- Continuously assess and improve technical workflow to enhance the integrity of digital models.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Game Development, Digital Media, or related field required.
- Master's degree would be an advantage.
Professional Certifications
- Professional registration in the respective discipline (such as Chartered Engineer) would be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of proven work experience developing real-time 3D applications in Unreal Engine and/or other virtual production pipelines.
- Experience with quality control protocols and technical troubleshooting in digital assets management ensuring high standards of digital model integrity.
- Strong background in BIM, GIS, and management of complex digital asset structures.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain technical workflows, file structures, and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine with extensive experience in digital modeling in the architectural visualization field.
- Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred.
- Support team through periods of business change.
- Leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English to articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences and influence at senior levels.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level digital design solutions and applications.
