Role Overview
Senior Manager, VCS Market Development (Qatar & Kuwait) at Visa. The role combines sales and product delivery functions, operating from the Qatar and Kuwait region.

Role Purpose
This role exists to drive expansion of Visa Commercial Solutions across Qatar and Kuwait by onboarding new clients in the Small Business, Middle Market and Large Client segments, leading all market development activities, building stronger relationships with existing and new partners, and opening new revenue pools through strategic, solutions-based selling to executive-level decision makers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Set joint objectives supporting performance targets for the function based on strategic business and go-to-market plan built with the Head of Commercial, GCC.
- Build, drive and deliver the go-to-market strategy and execution of key partnerships for SME and Large Market clients.
- Implement both short and long-term strategies and tactics to increase profitability with commercial issuers in market.
- Design and deliver business cases for new payment, technology and vertical initiatives covering Healthcare, real estate and government sectors.
Market Expansion & Solutions Delivery
- Drive new Commercial Solutions purchase volume and revenue with Visa commercial issuers, assessing and defining business opportunities to increase volume and share.
- Facilitate the successful deployment of Visa's digital payment solutions and B2B platform partnership programs to gain market share and accelerate volume growth.
- Engage players in the FinTech, Visa Government Solutions and acceptance value chains to establish new partner, vendor, enabler and joint venture integration with capabilities to establish and sustain Visa's competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with Visa Commercial Solutions Hub team on new products, market and client-led campaigns and drive VCS value-added services solutions and revenues.
Client & Partnership Management
- Proactively engage with clients to identify customer and segment needs and improve the value proposition of their solutions.
- Secure targeted opportunities in the public and private sectors.
- Contribute to the quarterly business and account plan for assigned clients, agreeing with matrixed stakeholders required actions and deliverables in close collaboration with Client Relationship Management teams.
- Collaborate and drive industry relevant events and sponsorships along with clients and partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Client Relationship Management teams and cross-functional teams in Visa to implement market initiatives.
- Leverage appropriate Visa assets and product management resources to deliver exceptional business, issuer and acquirer value.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Visa products and services, with experienced knowledge in commercial solutions and broad knowledge of consumer, loyalty, merchant and acceptance, ecommerce and digital offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8 to 12 years of business experience including sales and/or relationship management.
- Commercial Cards Issuing and Acquiring experience is preferred.
- Exposure to servicing Financial Institution clients in Commercial Cards is required.
- Good knowledge of Transaction Banking covering SME, Corporate and Public Sector is required.
- Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions.
