Role Purpose

The incumbent markets and provides sales support for all treasury products to corporate clients. The role performs sales calls and visits to solicit and cross-sell the Group's treasury products and services to existing and new customers. The incumbent is responsible for gathering and reviewing documentation for account opening with corporate treasury customers and ensuring the adequacy of opening and amendment account documentation in compliance with set policies (such as KYC/AML) and procedures and regulatory legal form of business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Growth

  • Assist in implementing strategies to position the Group's treasury as a major player in the corporate treasury segment.
  • Assist in the achievement of set targets, objectives, business growth, and expansion for the Corporate Sales Unit.
  • Perform activities to assist in the achievement of the Corporate Sales and Marketing Strategy and to meet the corporate sales budget.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Banking Division to identify potential customers and to cross-sell treasury services.

Sales & Client Relationship Management

  • Perform sales calls and premise visits to existing and potential corporate customers in accordance with Senior Dealer Corporate Sales instructions and delegated authority to solicit additional business, solidify current banking relationships, and inform of new Group products and services.
  • Develop new corporate relationships and log any corporate customer issues for escalation to higher authority for timely resolution.
  • Maintain and update the database for corporate treasury customers after contact with potential and current Group customers within delegated authority.
  • Adhere to Customer Relationship Management techniques ensuring that all corporate customer contacts are conducted in accordance with set policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all related departments and units to achieve the Group's goals and objectives.
  • Assist customers with all queries on the Bank's products and seek solutions to their requests.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Work with the client and the QNB Account Operations team to collect required customer account documentation to open and maintain the account, with vigilance towards local Central Bank/Regulator and the Bank's KYC/AML requirements.
  • Provide timely updates of client account status to QNB Centralized Operations to ensure accuracy at all times.
  • Provide relevant experience in KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) directives, rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements including Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).

Reporting & Analysis

  • Support the Senior Dealer Corporate Sales in preparing various sales reports and updates for senior management.
  • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments and units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
  • Provide timely and accurate data to external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk when required.

Risk & Regulatory Framework

  • Understand and effectively perform the role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify, measure, monitor, manage, and report risks.
  • Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
  • Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with Operational Risk Management requirements.
  • Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.

Training & Professional Development

  • Provide requisite training to Corporate Banking staff on treasury products and services provided by the Group.
  • Identify related areas for professional development of self and others.
  • Proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities.
  • Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in the professional field.
  • Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank and attain and maintain required levels of competence.

General Responsibilities

  • Act within the limits of powers delegated to the incumbent.
  • Implement KPIs and best practices for the role.
  • Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
  • Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need-to-know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
  • Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
  • Perform all other ad hoc duties and activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Related).
  • 8 years Treasury Sales experience, preferably with Corporate Treasury Sales.
