Senior Manager - Project

Role Overview

Senior Manager - Project at AD Ports Group. This position is responsible for driving the success of the EC & FZ Programme department through the management and delivery of complex projects.

Role Purpose

Play a pivotal role in managing and delivering large-scale complex projects within the EC & FZ Programme, ensuring timely and efficient execution while maintaining compliance, managing risks, and fostering collaborative team environments across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

• Manage all activities across EC FZ large-scale projects to enable successful delivery of project goals in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance to define project scope of work, lead deliverables, plan schedule, monitor resources (personnel, equipment and materials) and oversee budget to meet EC & FZ client requirements.
• Execute project management activities including the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation.
• Direct maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all large-scale projects.

Risk & Issue Management

• Control EC FZ large-scale project risks, provide advice to resolve issues and update mitigation plans to ensure project success.
• Identify and address complex challenges and opportunities through strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to make data-driven decisions.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure EC FZ project compliance to group governance, internal and external stakeholders, and cluster requirements.
• Liaise with EC FZ large-scale project owners and review assigned specifications, standards, and procedures to meet project requirements and achieve objectives.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor the progress and performance of large-scale projects, review metrics, analyze bottlenecks and recommend action plans.
• Prepare reports for management on all EC FZ medium-scale project delivery including current activities, data analysis and forecasting studies.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Support in managing the interfaces and dependencies across EC FZ project, clusters and external parties.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports Group.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Promote HSE culture and activities in the construction activities across EC FZ large-scale projects.

Continuous Improvement

• Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices.
• Identify and support improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (engineering, construction management, project management or similar).
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in delivering construction projects in an industrial environment.
• Experience as a senior project manager or in a programme management position.
• Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Preferably have worked in both construction and consultancy organisations.
