The role sits within Sourcing Solutions and supports Emirates Flight Catering's food procurement operations and strategic objectives.

Role Purpose

Drive supplier performance across food procurement, ensuring external business partners consistently meet or exceed Emirates Flight Catering's expectations for quality, service, value, reliability and compliance. Strengthen strategic relationships with food suppliers, support a resilient and efficient food supply chain, and contribute to sustainability and responsible procurement objectives including engagement with SMEs and the wider UAE economy.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Performance Management

• Lead supplier performance management across food procurement categories.
• Establish and monitor appropriate KPIs and SLAs.
• Track, evaluate and report supplier performance to ensure quality, service and value standards are consistently achieved.
• Work closely with food suppliers to address performance gaps.
• Lead corrective and continuous improvement actions.

Supplier Relationships & Strategic Engagement

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance reliability, innovation and Emirates Flight Catering's position as a Customer of Choice.
• Identify opportunities to engage SME suppliers.
• Support sustainable and responsible procurement practices.

Procurement Strategy & Operations

• Drive the execution of the Procurement function's strategic objectives for supplier performance through clear and measurable action plans.
• Engage with key stakeholders to ensure supplier and contract compliance while maximising value for money and maintaining high service levels.
• Support supply continuity and resilience within Emirates Flight Catering's complex, high-volume food operation.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop the Procurement Delivery team.
• Establish clear objectives and development plans that support a high-performance culture.
• Ensure relevant health, safety and compliance requirements are embedded within procurement and supplier management activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant procurement experience, with substantial experience in a managerial role.
• Strong food procurement and supplier management experience is required.
• Experience within aviation, airline catering, large-scale food production, hospitality, FMCG or a similarly complex food supply environment is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing supplier KPIs and SLAs and driving performance improvement.
• Experience managing international supply chains, logistics and outsourced service providers would be beneficial.
• MCIPS or an equivalent procurement certification is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain and supplier performance management.
• Strong contract management and commercial capability.
• Experience working with ERP platforms such as Oracle.
• Knowledge of Lean Supply and/or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
