Role Overview
Senior Manager - International Defense Sales & Sustainment at RTX, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (SA-01-RIYADH-S1 ~ 9054 Airport Rd ~ ROSHAN FRONT BLDG S1). Hybrid work arrangement.

Role Purpose
Lead business development efforts across the Collins Aerospace and Defense portfolio with specific focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan. Drive product-agnostic growth across Collins Aerospace's full portfolio, including defense solutions, while leveraging expertise in Direct Commercial Sales, Foreign Military Sales, and U.S. Government procurement processes. Ensure sustainable revenue growth and long-term partnerships in these key markets.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Coverage & Defense Strategy
- Drive business development opportunities across Collins Aerospace's full portfolio, including all Strategic Business Units, sustainment offerings, and defense-specific solutions.
- Ensure comprehensive approach to regional market penetration, leveraging the full breadth of the company's aerospace and defense capabilities.
- Act as key driver of Collins Aerospace's defense strategy, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities in military and government sectors.
Regional Prospecting & Opportunity Conversion
- Hold full accountability for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, with focus on defense.
- Lead pursuit governance efforts to ensure strategic alignment and effective consumption choices across opportunities, particularly in defense-related programs and contracts.
- Build and maintain robust pipeline of defense Direct Commercial Sales and Foreign Military Sales opportunities to drive sustainable revenue expansion.
Account & Stakeholder Management
- Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with key customers, including military organizations, defense ministries, government entities, and commercial partners, to strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Serve as trusted advisor to key defense accounts, ensuring alignment with their mission-critical needs and objectives.
Customer Engagement & Representation
- Act as senior representative of Collins Aerospace in the region, leading executive engagements and negotiations for defense.
- Drive high-value deal closures, ensuring alignment with company strategic priorities, including defense-related pursuits.
- Represent the organization effectively in government, military, and industry forums to enhance company visibility and influence.
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including performance metrics, strategic insights, and recommendations for defense initiatives.
- Ensure transparent and timely communication of regional developments and progress, with focus on defense program opportunities and risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Professional Sales, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business development or related roles, with strong focus on aerospace, defense, Direct Commercial Sales, Foreign Military Sales, and U.S. Government procurement processes.
- Culturally astute; appreciates differences and leverages those differences to inform regional and country business development strategies.
- Experience engaging effectively with C-suite, senior government, and enterprise stakeholders.
- Prior in-depth business development experience within aerospace and defense industry.
- Prior experience operating across multiple regions (e.g. APAC, EMEA, Americas), managing complex sales cycles and deal structures, and owning revenue targets through effective pursuit management and pipeline development.
- Prior work experience in highly regulated industry, similar to aerospace and defense, for large organization with geographically dispersed workforce and highly matrixed work environment.
- Prior work experience in defense leveraging stakeholder relationships to influence executive policy, regulation, legislation, and stakeholder procurement decisions.
- Prior experience in developing cross-functional collaborative team-based approach to strategy, pursuit, and stakeholder relationship development, demonstrating ability to build credibility and interaction through influencing suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with competitive landscapes and procurement processes (Direct Commercial Sales, Foreign Military Financing, Foreign Military Sales).

- Proficiency in MS Office suite tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic language (preferred).
Additional Information
- Hybrid work arrangement.
- Ability to travel frequently (50%) across Middle East and Africa and internationally as required.
- Applicants must hold or be fully eligible to obtain valid work permit and residency visa (Iqama) to live and work in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Work experience in military (preferred).
- Master's degree or MBA (preferred).
