Role Overview

Senior Linux System Administrator (HPC) at DeepSource Technologies in Riyadh, KSA. The role focuses on administering and supporting infrastructure underpinning an HPC environment with emphasis on system reliability, security, performance, automation, and availability.

Role Purpose

Administer, maintain, and optimize RHEL/Linux servers and HPC compute nodes, manage Kubernetes clusters and workloads, and ensure infrastructure security, performance, and availability through hands-on technical expertise and automation.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Maintenance

• Administer and maintain RHEL/Linux servers and HPC compute nodes.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems.
• Maintain system configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

Kubernetes & Cluster Management

• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, nodes, and workloads.
• Support integration between compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and HPC platforms.

Performance & Optimization

• Perform Linux performance tuning, system hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and availability.

Automation & Infrastructure

• Automate infrastructure administration using Ansible, Shell scripting, Python, or similar tools.
• Support integration between compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and HPC platforms.

Security & Incident Management

• Implement security best practices across Linux and Kubernetes environments.
• Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.

Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot complex Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator, Linux Engineer, or RHEL Administrator.
• Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster management.
• Experience supporting HPC environments and compute clusters is highly preferred.
• RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer: Mandatory.
• CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator: Preferred.
