Senior HSES Tech(HSES Administrator)

Role Overview

Senior HSES Tech (HSES Administrator) at McDermott. This role completes various HSES assignments with limited supervision and serves as an informal resource for colleagues with less HSES experience.

Role Purpose

Provide technical health, safety, environment, and security (HSES) support across operations. Deliver solutions to atypical or infrequent problems based on existing precedents and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and maintain a proactive prevention culture.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development and Administration

• Serve as a resource to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for incidents.
• Implement the HSES Activity plan and ensure activities are completed as scheduled.

Compliance and Technical Assistance

• Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and company environmental, safety, and health regulations.
• Maintain key competencies associated with the HSES function.

Inspections and Monitoring

• Conduct HSES inspections as directed.
• Regularly inspect work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Observe the condition of plant and equipment and report deficiencies.

Incident Management and Investigations

• Assist with incident investigations and compilation of reports.
• Assist with medical evacuations and respond to emergencies as required.

Reporting and Documentation

• Assist in the preparation of HSES Statistics Reports.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HSES information.
• Update and maintain HSES database/platform.

Training and Guidance

• Observe work groups and provide guidance and coaching to personnel to perform work safely.
• Assist in the delivery and observation of toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent certification.
• 3–4 years of relevant HSES experience.
• Experience with technical activities.
• Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
