Role Overview

Senior Engineer, Process with the Engineering Services Team – Process Engineering at ADNOC, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose

Direct, supervise, and coordinate all activities of engineers within the Process Engineering functional discipline. Provide technical advice to operations on all relevant process engineering aspects and ensure the integrity and timeliness of work for technical studies.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight & Supervision

• Supervise all engineers within the Process Engineering functional discipline.
• Coordinate all activities of process engineering teams.

Technical Authority & Standards

• Act as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering in the Company.
• Provide mediation in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties.
• Develop, support, and review Process engineering standards, codes of practice, and technical specifications to ensure they align with prevailing legislation, current best practice, and reflect lessons learnt from past activities.
• Reach and maintain ISO certification for the Process section.

Project Deliverables & Design Review

• Review all engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors with respect to process and controls.
• Review all systems and equipment design to ensure easy and safe operations.
• Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages of projects.

Key Documents & Technical Guidance

• Provide Process Engineering expertise for the development and authorization of Key Documents including Philosophies, Policies, and Design Basis for all project works covering Assets, Major Projects, Brownfield Projects, and New field projects to ensure consistency and efficacy.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare progress and performance analysis reports, highlight problematic areas, and recommend appropriate actions.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with set policy, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify, investigate, and recommend appropriate new technical innovations, developments, and enhancements to improve delivery of business goals.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure Process Engineering representation and expertise is available for necessary support of HSE driven studies and workshops.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the same or similar role.
