Role Overview
Senior Engineer, I-C at ADNOC, Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical expertise across instrumentation and control engineering design, coordinating with multiple departments and external partners to ensure quality execution and integrity.

Role Purpose
Deliver technical expertise in instrumentation and control engineering design while coordinating across technical departments, business units, operations, and external contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain design quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Engineering
- Provide technical expertise on all instrumentation and control engineering subject matters and design.
- Review design works and studies performed by engineering consultants and ensure they meet technical requirements and standards.
- Review and approve drawings, specifications and technical documents for all instrumentation and controls design-related works.
- Perform calculations for design validation and optimization.
- Ensure state-of-the-art technology is applied throughout the engineering phase for cost-effective solutions and value-added engineering.
- Conduct technical authority reviews and accept or reject vendor and supplier deviation or non-compliance requests to company specifications and standards submitted by the project PMC.
Coordination & Liaison
- Coordinate and interface with other technical departments, business units, operations and contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare scope of work for external consultants and EPC contractors for job execution.
- Provide technical assistance, coordination and liaison with other discipline engineers and business units to acquire technical and general requirements and manage interfaces.
- Provide in-house technical authority and specialized skills support for problem solving.
Standards & Procedures
- Provide input and updates to engineering procedures, company standards, technical specifications, design philosophies and engineering guidelines.
- Implement approved section and department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in support of work programs aligned with company and international standards.
Supervision & Development
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable proficiency and delivery of section objectives.
Budget & Performance
- Provide input for preparation of functional budgets and assist in implementation of approved budgets and work plans to deliver section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
- Contribute to achievement of approved performance objectives for the function aligned with the company performance framework.
Innovation & Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency aligned with best industry standards to define intelligent solutions.
Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines aligned with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reporting
- Provide inputs to prepare section management information systems and progress reports for company management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in instrumentation, electronics or control engineering.
- 8 years of experience in instrumentation, electronics or control engineering.
