Role Overview
Senior Discipline Engineer (MEP) at JASARA PMC. This is a site-based role supporting the delivery of construction projects with complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes.
Company Overview
Jasara is a project management consultancy focused on the delivery of construction projects across complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes. The team plays a critical role in ensuring MEP installations are delivered in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality expectations, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Role Purpose
To drive quality and progress of MEP works across the construction lifecycle, providing engineering oversight, resolving technical issues, and maintaining high standards of compliance and execution. You will support effective coordination between technical teams and help keep project delivery on track.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Oversight
- Supervise day-to-day MEP construction activities on site.
- Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local codes, and project requirements.
- Monitor contractor progress and identify potential delays or quality issues.
Technical Review & Documentation
- Review and monitor MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
- Review contractor progress reports and verify completed work.
- Prepare technical reports for construction and MEP projects.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Raise NCRs and site observations, and follow up on corrective actions when required.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, and other disciplines.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support to the Project Manager and Resident Engineer.
- Work closely with project leadership and site stakeholders.
Project Completion
- Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and project handover activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7 years of experience in MEP site supervision within PMC or consultancy environments.
- Experience on large-scale building, commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects.
- Mechanical engineering background with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, and ELV systems.
- Familiarity with international standards and local authority regulations, including the Saudi Building Code.
Skills & Competencies
- Professional proficiency in both Arabic and English.
- Strong technical oversight and disciplined execution capability.
Additional Information
- Experience coordinating with contractors and client-side teams is a plus.
