Role Overview

Senior Director – Private Banking GCC Coverage at Emirates Islamic Bank, based in the GCC region, leading high-value client portfolios and revenue generation within the Private Banking Front Office (Relationship Management).

Role Purpose

As a cornerstone of the Private Banking team, you will drive revenue generation by managing high-value portfolios, generating Net New Money and revenues for the bank, and identifying and cultivating new prospects to transform them into valued clients.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Portfolio Management

  • Manage high-value portfolios, driving substantial revenue growth.
  • Oversee a book of business to generate Net New Money and revenues for the bank.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Private Bank by maintaining and expanding existing client relationships in the GCC Market.
  • Identify and develop new prospects into bank clients.

Client Solutions & Asset Growth

  • Increase the share of invested assets by providing tailored solutions to clients.
  • Explore investment opportunities with clients.
  • Conduct regular account reviews with Investment Advisors.
  • Deliver high-quality customer acquisition, relationship management and tailored solutions.

Cross-Business Collaboration

  • Increase client share of wallet and diversify the Private Bank by collaborating on direct investment opportunities.
  • Build strong partnerships across ENBD business lines, including Corporate, Retail, Investment Banking, and Asset Management.
  • Strengthen collaboration across business and control functions.
  • Build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues.

Team Development

  • Foster teamwork and develop team members.
  • Introduce clients and prospects to senior team members.
  • Seek guidance and support from senior leadership for relationship management and product development.
  • Support an inclusive and accountable team.

Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain compliance with conduct, suitability, KYC, credit and sales governance.
  • Apply conduct, suitability, KYC, credit and sales governance consistently.
  • Complete required checks, approvals and documentation.
  • Identify control gaps and support corrective action.
  • Maintain audit-ready evidence.
  • Review information for accurate and complete outputs.

Operational Excellence

  • Plan and execute customer acquisition, relationship management and tailored solutions against agreed priorities.
  • Maintain clear records and timely updates.
  • Resolve issues and escalate material exceptions.
  • Analyse performance and feedback.
  • Recommend practical improvements.
  • Support automation and standardisation.
  • Track sustained benefits.
  • Communicate requirements, decisions and risks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Banking, or a related field.
  • MBA in Finance (preferred).
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Financial Services.
  • Experience covering GCC Markets.
  • CFA or equivalent financial services qualifications (desirable).
  • Relevant banking or professional certification (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of assets and liabilities products, capital markets, portfolio management and investment products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance, due diligence and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Basic legal structures knowledge, including offshore accounts and trusts.
  • Ongoing professional development in banking regulation, risk management and digital ways of working.
  • Quality and accuracy in execution.
  • Issue resolution and escalation capability.
  • Policy adherence and risk management.
  • Turnaround time optimization and first-time-right quality delivery.
  • Stakeholder confidence building and communication quality.
