Role Purpose

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist serves as the first line of defense for critical information and organizational assets. The role is responsible for safeguarding critical infrastructure throughout planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions that protect the organization's information and assets from all potential cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Protection & Implementation

Safeguard critical infrastructure through implementing cybersecurity technologies.
Implement cybersecurity requirements mandated by SAIS (Supreme Authority of Industrial Security), National Cybersecurity Authority, High Commission for Industrial Security, and Saudi Aramco applicable standards SAEP-99 and SAEP-100.
Provide operational technology and cybersecurity defense.

Asset & Access Management

Lead asset management across the cybersecurity environment.
Manage access management and control systems.
Oversee network management and optimization.

System Hardening & Protection

Lead hardening and patching management programs.
Manage endpoint protection solutions.
Oversee backup and disaster recovery systems.

Threat Detection & Response

Conduct threat hunting activities.
Perform vulnerability assessment and analysis.
Execute penetration testing engagements.
Lead incident response procedures.
Manage SIEM systems and monitoring.

Security Operations & Compliance

Lead on-site projects related to industrial control systems compliance to applicable regulations.
Conduct cybersecurity drills and tabletop exercises.
Design systems architecture and network diagrams while meeting cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
Oversee physical security measures.
Perform proactive health checks for detective, preventive, and remediation countermeasures.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

Work cooperatively in plant operational environment with safety, process control engineers, operations, maintenance, and other relevant areas.
Lead the cybersecurity team in GRC and Operations Engineering activities.
Serve as Cybersecurity Manager responsibilities.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide strong troubleshooting skills to identify and remediate system errors.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or relevant fields.
6+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity industry.
Expert experience working with various Operational Technology and Industrial Control Systems.
Strong hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions including network architectural understanding and improvement.

Skills & Competencies

Expert proficiency with cybersecurity tools including active directory, firewalls, SIEMs, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability assessment, and patch management.
Expert in vulnerability assessment, patching management, and system hardening.
Skilled in leading cybersecurity drills and tabletop exercises.
Good level of knowledge of national and international cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures.
Knowledgeable in designing systems architecture and network diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
Very good English language skills in written and verbal communications.
