Senior Contracts Management Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Contracts Management Engineer at HILL International. This role manages the complete contract lifecycle on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance, timely execution, and risk mitigation across all contractual relationships.

Role Purpose

Lead contract management activities across the entire lifecycle—from drafting and negotiation through implementation and compliance—while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Lifecycle Management

• Support managing the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, implementation, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth contract execution.
• Conduct regular contract audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

Risk Assessment & Analysis

• Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and propose appropriate solutions.
• Identify and resolve any contract-related issues or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure contract terms are aligned with company policies and objectives.

Monitoring & Compliance

• Monitor and track contract deliverables, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
• Inform yourself of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within HILL International, and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed by HILL.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and present reports on contract performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in contract management to continuously improve processes and systems.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in contracts management, including overall responsibility for contract management on large-scale projects.
• Experience with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia procurement law.
• Demonstrated experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling.
• Thorough knowledge of prime contracts management administration as well as subcontract formation and administration, execution office and field procedures, and documents relating to multi-discipline construction projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
