AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager for a large residential project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose
The Senior Contracts Manager will provide expert contract administration and management across all project phases, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing commercial relationships, and supporting the delivery of large multi-functional projects within complex organizational structures.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration & Management
- Manage contractual correspondence and draft appropriate responses and advice.
- Review, understand and apply contracts and framework agreements.
- Draft contract particulars and appendices.
- Compile tender documents and conduct tender negotiations.
- Analyze tender proposals and provide recommendations.
- Negotiate contract conditions.
Compliance & Evaluation
- Assess and evaluate independent consultants appointed by the client, reviewing their compliance with contractual terms and obligations.
- Assess and evaluate AtkinsRéalis compliance with its own contractual terms and obligations.
- Provide recommendations for compliance improvements and oversee their implementation.
Commercial Strategy & Analysis
- Conduct reviews of existing operations across pre-contract and post-contract phases, evaluating processes and procedures in both office and site environments.
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of current operations.
- Compile bespoke sets of processes and procedures across quality, progress, commercial matters, contractual matters, value, safety, design and construction.
- Manage project controls, especially change management procedures.
- Deliver strong negotiation and claims management on major projects.
Stakeholder Management & Relationships
- Build and maintain effective working relationships within complex structures across projects, with clients and internally.
- Support all colleagues and senior management team as a fully integrated member of the Project Delivery Organization (PDO) team.
- Integrate with and support Project Management Consultants (PMCs) as applicable.
- Maintain and enhance F+G / AtkinsRéalis reputation with the client and develop effective long-term client relationships.
- Identify and develop new opportunities for the Group.
Leadership & Support
- Report directly to the Commercial Director for PDO.
- Deputise for the PDO Commercial Director where required.
- Provide full quantity surveying services as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree.
- Professional recognition as Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
- 10 or more years of experience at senior professional level in project delivery of large projects.
- Experience preferably similar to client/consultant project roles.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in USA, Canada or Western European countries.
- A further 5 years' experience working in the Middle East is preferable.
- Demonstrated track record in delivery of large multi-functional projects.
- Conversant with Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) design stages, especially RIBA Stages 2 to 6.
- Strong negotiation and claims experience on major projects.
- Proven commercial and contractual acumen.
Skills & Competencies
- Expert in reviewing, understanding and applying contracts and framework agreements.
- Proficient in drafting contract particulars, appendices and tender documents.
- Capable of conducting tender analysis and providing strategic recommendations.
- Strong in contract negotiation and condition management.
- Knowledge of project controls procedures, especially change management.
- Comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations.
- Capable of driving successful delivery outcomes.
- Able to build effective working relationships within complex organizational structures.
- Experienced in quantity surveying services.
- "Rounded profile" comfortable across multiple project dimensions.
