Senior Contract Manager at Boskalis, working on international maritime and infrastructure projects on a 6/4-week rotation basis.

Role Purpose

Provide contractual support and administration during the preparation, execution, and closure of complex and high-profile joint venture projects. Lead contract management activities while supervising and training Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration

• Administer contracts by preparing and maintaining daily progress reports and event logs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, variation orders, and claims.

Project Support

• Provide contractual and commercial support during the preparation, execution, and closure of complex joint venture projects.
• Lead complex and high-profile joint venture projects.

Stakeholder Management

• Draft and review correspondence with partners, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the Project Team, Insurance, Procurement, and Treasury departments.
• Work closely with Senior Legal Counsel involved in projects.

Team Development & Leadership

• Mentor and supervise Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors assigned to projects.
• Enhance contract awareness within the Project Team.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Business Legal department to provide guidance and advice on a wide range of contractual matters.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
• 10 or more years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of standard international construction and maritime contracts, including FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, and BIMCO.
• Experience in an international maritime or civil engineering environment preferred.
