Role Overview
Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at DeepLight AI, based in the UAE. You will serve as the primary visionary for cloud-native banking platforms, bridging ambitious business goals with rigorous technical execution to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective architectures across Azure and AWS.

Role Purpose
Design and advocate for secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures that satisfy stringent banking regulations and cybersecurity audits. Translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs while empowering engineering teams to build with speed, safety, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design
- Create comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Design (HLD/LLD) documents for web and mobile-backend applications.
- Prioritize high availability and seamless Disaster Recovery (DR) in all architectural solutions.
Hybrid-Cloud Governance
- Establish and maintain organizational structures across cloud providers.
- Manage environment segregation via Subnets, Resource Groups (Azure), and Accounts/Organizations (AWS).
- Enforce the Principle of Least Privilege across all infrastructure.
Network Sovereignty
- Architect sophisticated network topologies including Hub-and-Spoke, Private Link, and Transit Gateways.
- Integrate WAF and DDoS protection to ensure sensitive banking data avoids the public internet.
Security & Compliance Advocacy
- Act as the lead technical liaison to Cybersecurity, Data Management, and Corporate Risk teams.
- Defend designs to ensure 100% compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and central bank mandates.
FinOps Strategy
- Drive strategy for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization.
- Select appropriate SKUs including Reserved Instances, Spot, and Premium tiers.
- Enforce tagging policies for departmental billing.
Technical Mentorship
- Act as the "North Star" for Platform and DevOps engineers.
- Ensure Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) implementations mirror architectural blueprints.
- Serve as the face of the firm, building trust and articulating the "why" behind technical decisions to high-level stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional-level cloud certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Deep expertise in VPC/VNET peering, VPN Tunnels, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, and advanced Load Balancing.
- Proven track record implementing Zero-Trust architectures, IAM at scale, and complex encryption protocols for data at rest and in transit.
- Extensive experience designing financial systems with focus on audit trails, data residency, and risk mitigation.
- Mastery of Microservices, Containerization (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS), and Serverless paradigms.

- Exceptional ability to influence C-suite executives while maintaining technical credibility with engineers.
