Senior Cloud Engineer - (Saudi National)- Riyadh, KSA

Role Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer position with DeepSource Technologies supporting a remote engagement for a client in Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh, KSA. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role focused on infrastructure reliability and automation across a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.

Role Purpose

Own infrastructure reliability and automation across hybrid, multi-cloud environments. Manage production Kubernetes clusters, build DevOps automation workflows, implement Infrastructure as Code practices, and ensure infrastructure health, performance, and security across cloud and endpoint layers.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes & Container Operations

• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters in production environments, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support Helm and scaling operations as part of cluster management.

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation workflows to support development and release cycles.
• Implement scripting and automation workflows using Python and Bash.

Infrastructure as Code

• Implement Infrastructure as Code practices, with strong emphasis on Terraform, for provisioning and configuration management across cloud environments.

Endpoint & Device Management

• Manage device and endpoint policies through Microsoft Intune, including compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and security across cloud and endpoint layers.
• Respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Stackdriver.

Cloud Cost & Governance

• Support cloud cost optimization, resource governance, and tagging and organization standards across GCP and AWS.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with the client's internal IT, security, and DevOps teams to align infrastructure operations with broader organizational policies.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Operational Support

• Participate in on-call and operational support rotations as required by the client.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong DevOps background with proven hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint and device management and compliance.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security fundamentals across GCP and AWS.

Skills & Competencies

• Scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
• Troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, application, and network layers.
• Monitoring and observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Stackdriver.
• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity with clear, proactive communication.
