Role Purpose
Shape the future of SEL's global supply chain by developing and executing strategic sourcing plans, managing supplier partnerships, and driving cost savings while mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring procurement compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Planning
- Develop and lead execution of strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies.
- Provide market intelligence and sourcing insights.
- Identify risks to SEL's supply chain and report to manager with mitigation plans, including overall market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and business conditions for manufacturers and suppliers.
Supplier Management & Development
- Manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Develop supplier partnerships by identifying areas for improvement, escalating issues to manager along with corrective action plans, and executing corrective action plans in accordance with World Class Manufacturing principles.
- Adhere to purchasing policies and practices to ensure highest quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost from suppliers.
Commercial & Negotiations
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
- Drive cost savings and value optimization.
Risk & Compliance
- Mitigate supply chain and procurement risks.
- Ensure procurement compliance and governance.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Role model for business professionalism, purchasing fundamentals, time management, data analysis, supply chain management, supplier development, cost reduction strategy development and negotiation techniques.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in business, operations, or supply chain; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically 5 or more years of experience.
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
- Negative drug test result(s).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Compensation
Starting pay is based on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
