Role Overview

Senior Associate – Debt Capital Markets at Mashreq, Corporate & Investment Banking Group – Investment Banking Division, based in the CIS and Caucasus region.

Role Purpose

Assist in structuring, executing, and originating Debt Capital Markets transactions as a key offering within Mashreq Investment Banking Division, with special emphasis on deal origination and execution in the CIS and Caucasus region.

Key Responsibilities

Origination

• Support Senior team members with their active pitch pipeline.
• Provide regular client pricing updates.
• Contribute to weekly updates produced by the team for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor market dynamics and relevant news on a real-time basis that may be of interest to clients.
• Maintain updated information for materials and databases including issuance to date, news, markets, league tables, and other DCM-related statistics to promote Mashreq DCM.

Execution

• Partner with Senior team members on necessary DCM documentation.
• Coordinate with external resources to ensure high-quality offering circulars in the private or public market as warranted.
• Assist the team, DCM Head, and Investment Banking Head in preparation of internal pitches or materials as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in Investment Banking, ideally with Debt Capital Markets experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Solid quantitative skills.
• Solid presentation skills with experience of presentations internally and/or externally.
• Proactive and energetic personality with the ability to multitask across both development and execution areas.

Additional Information

• Additional languages advantageous: Arabic, Russian, or Turkish.
