Role Overview

Senior Airline Economics Marketing Specialist at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose

Serve as a technical expert in analyzing and quantifying the economic and financial aspects of Boeing products and services relative to customers' needs and competitive offerings. Provide specialized expertise in aircraft operating and introductory costs, maintenance costs, flight crew cost modeling, value analysis, and financial analysis to support sales campaigns and customer decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Value Analysis & Presentations

• Develop creative, persuasive presentations and value analyses that create a preference for Boeing products in support of sales campaigns.
• Confidently present comprehensive airplane economic value stories to customers, industry forums, Boeing executive management, and trade associations.
• Continually seek new, innovative ways to present Boeing products favorably in the market to a variety of audiences including airlines, lessors, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MROs), media, and the financial community.

Financial Analysis & Modeling

• Develop feasibility studies that demonstrate the financial benefits of Boeing airplanes in an airline's system and assist airlines in optimizing fleet plans.
• Create and maintain economic and financial methods and models that support the business function.
• Serve as a resource within Boeing, capable and proficient in the areas of financial analysis including airplane ownership costs, cash flow, net present value, internal rate of return, knowledge of industry financial health, hard currency analysis, and lease versus buy analysis.

Collaboration & Operations

• Work closely with other Sales and Marketing team members out of Dubai within a global team.
• Demonstrate flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across multiple time zones, including work outside standard business hours, in accordance with applicable employment law and company policy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Three or more years' experience analyzing data and communicating results to executive leadership or customers.
• Typical education and experience: advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD plus 4 years' related work experience, Master's plus 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience).
• Preferred: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Experience analyzing airline market or financial data.
• Preferred: Familiarization with both Boeing and competitor products.
• Preferred: Prior commercial aviation industry experience including airline or lessor.
• Preferred: Language capabilities beyond English.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent English language proficiency.
• High level of initiative and proactive approach to collaborating with other team members, problem-solving, and taking ownership of projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects of significant importance.

Additional Information

• On-site at Dubai office 5 days a week.
• The successful applicant should expect to spend up to 3 months with Boeing in Seattle initially for role-related training and onboarding.
• Able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
• Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position; candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at own expense.

• This is an international, locally hired position in Dubai, UAE. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll; compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable UAE law.

• This position does not require a Security Clearance.
