Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Accountant at Galadari Brothers. The role supports and manages key accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, effective collection follow-up, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Role Purpose

To support and manage key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting and Fixed Assets, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, effective collection follow-up, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including reconciliations and timely closing of accounts.
• Monitor customer receivables, aging and overdue balances.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team and customers for collection.
• Reconcile Home Delivery sales and commissions and ensure daily collections are properly accounted for.
• Prepare monthly AR dashboards and customer profitability reports.

Accounts Payable & General Accounting

• Manage Accounts Payable activities, including reconciliations and timely closing of accounts.
• Process receipts, invoices, credit notes and customer/supplier master data in Oracle ERP.
• Perform supplier reconciliations and ensure proper invoice documentation.
• Ensure three-way matching of PR, PO, Invoice and GRN.

Fixed Assets

• Maintain and update Fixed Assets in the ERP system.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Assist the Finance Manager with monthly and year-end closing activities, including provisions and reconciliations.
• Prepare related financial reports.
• Support VAT and Corporate Tax compliance activities.

Team Support

• Provide support to the finance team and cover key accounting activities during team members' absence.

Qualifications & Experience

• M.Com, CA Inter or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in Retail or Food & Beverage is preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge with practical experience in AR, AP, General Accounting and Fixed Assets.
• Experience with Oracle ERP is preferred.
