Role Overview

Senior Accountant - GBS Controlling at Al Futtaim, located in Dubai. You will manage the financial controlling function across the UAE, Qatar, and Oman, partnering with business units and group entities to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, compliance, and audit activities.

Role Purpose

To coordinate and execute financial controlling activities across multiple entities and geographies, ensuring accurate reconciliation, timely reporting, system integrity, and seamless collaboration between cash management, accounts receivable, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Management & Collections

• Coordinate with cash management teams to compile and verify cash collection summary statements across multiple store locations and operational units
• Perform daily reconciliations of e-commerce debtors, receipts, sales transactions, deferred revenue, tax accounts, and related financial balances

Financial Reconciliation & Systems

• Reconcile financial transactions in SAP and Navision systems at month-end and coordinate with accounts receivable and order-to-cash teams for timely posting
• Monitor and resolve system discrepancies in cash collection reports, working collaboratively with IT support teams to address technical issues
• Follow up on sales reconciliations between store locations and central units, identify variances, and resolve differences with relevant departments

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial controlling role within a multi-entity environment

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in SAP and Navision enterprise resource planning systems
• Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to manage multiple financial processes simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with proven ability to collaborate across business units
