Security Project Manager 3

Role Overview

Security Project Manager 3 at Johnson Controls, based in Dubai. You will drive growth of the Security Systems business by managing the design and execution of projects as part of a dynamic team.

Role Purpose

To lead project management activities for security systems solutions, overseeing team performance, client relationships, financial metrics, and operational delivery across multiple concurrent projects in the Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead a team of field technicians and site engineers to complete and deliver security system projects.
• Lead the project management team in designing and executing projects.
• Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Develop and train allocated staff.
• Ensure key milestone dates are met and develop plans to bring projects back on track if delays occur.

Project Controls & Planning

• Monitor and control project cost, time, and scope.
• Monitor assigned engineering projects, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Prepare technical submittals, drawings, and method statements as per project requirements.
• Initiate change processes to manage variations as per contract terms.
• Manage and archive all project data as per company guidelines.

Financial & Administrative Management

• Understand and monitor various financial metrics of the projects.
• Ensure timely submission of billing invoices and facilitate payment collection.
• Finalize subcontract agreements and certify subcontract invoices.
• Resolve subcontractor disputes.

Quality & Compliance

• Prepare and comply with project quality plans and inspection & test plans, ensuring full compliance with specifications and client requirements.
• Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of quality and HSE.
• Ensure compliance with company and client QHSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure subcontractors follow all HSE guidelines as per company and customer policies.

Subcontractor Management

• Monitor and control all aspects of specialist sub-contractors.
• Finalize subcontract agreements, certify subcontract invoices, and resolve disputes.
• Ensure subcontractors follow all HSE guidelines as per company and customer policies.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Interact daily with clients to understand their needs and represent the company in the field.
• Prepare project progress reports and present them to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate formally (letters) and informally (verbally) with clients.
• Work with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or similar discipline from a reputable university.
• Minimum 6 years of project engineering experience in executing low voltage security systems.
• Recent leadership experience in the GCC region.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, labor management, and influencing skills.
• Clear understanding of Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) regulations.
• Fluency in English and excellent email etiquette.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Project management certification such as PMP (preferred).
• Experience working with Tier 1 Contractors (preferred).
• Ability to converse and write in Arabic (preferred).
• Additional certifications related to contracts and project program management, such as MS Project (preferred).
• Certifications in various security system products (preferred).
