Role Overview

Security Operations Representative at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. This position represents security operations and leads contracted security personnel during duty and shift hours, monitoring and ensuring compliance of Protective Services policies, procedures and standards.

Role Purpose

Maintain physical and electronic security across SSMC to create a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff and assets. Represent security operations, oversee contracted personnel, and ensure adherence to all security protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Assignments

• Perform operational tasks and special assignments as directed by security supervisor or manager.
• Implement operational plans and policies across the facility.
• Manage shift patterns to maintain security operations 24/7, 365 days per year.

Reporting & Documentation

• Review and prepare security personnel's daily activity reports for supervisor and manager.
• Respond to verbal and written inquiries in a timely manner.
• Report all issues to line supervisor for resolution.

Emergency Response & Safety

• Respond to all emergencies and color code alerts at SSMC.
• De-escalate potential violence situations and ensure staff safety.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for the department when required for emergencies, crisis or operational needs.

Security Investigations & Compliance

• Follow up on all security breach investigations with contractor staff.
• Ensure proper corrective actions are being taken following investigations.
• Provide technical expertise in identifying potential security issues.

External Coordination & Assistance

• Provide assistance to police performing lawful duties on the facility.
• Coordinate with line manager regarding police and external agency interactions.
• Support contracted staff during operational hours while on duty.

Personnel Management

• Manage subordinates and ensure team development.
• Facilitate complaint resolution within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in security operations.
• Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.

Desired

• Experience in a large healthcare facility.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Additional Information

• Contract includes 24/7, 365-day shift pattern coverage.
• On-call availability required for emergencies and crisis situations.
