Role Overview
Security Guard position at Agility, based on-site at the facility.
Role Purpose
Maintain facility security and safety by monitoring access points, surveillance systems, and traffic flow; respond to alarms and security concerns; and enforce security protocols to protect personnel, visitors, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control & Monitoring
- Record entry and exit of vehicles, visitors, and individuals
- Identify vehicles on the allow list and open the barrier gate
- Monitor inward and outward traffic and ensure proper streamlining
- Issue gate passes for all items and stocks leaving the ALP
Security & Surveillance
- Monitor the video surveillance system and review footage as necessary
- Check alarm systems and CCTVs to ensure they are in good working order
- Communicate any issues or problems with security systems to the supervisor
- Identify irregular or unusual conditions that threaten to create security concerns or safety hazards
Incident Response & Emergency Management
- Respond to alarms and calls of security concern
- Alert authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches
- Contact supervisors in cases of emergencies or threats and attempt to handle situations until help arrives
- Contact concerned authorities in emergency cases, including police for theft or civil defense for fires
Documentation & Compliance
- Make necessary entries in the security logbook and ensure information is registered daily
- Follow security policies and procedures at all times
- Monitor precautionary measures regarding the Corona pandemic
Customer Service & Support
- Provide assistance and support to visitors and employees at the gates
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma
- At least one year of related experience
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills
- Ability to efficiently deal with people from various levels with different requirements and temperament
- Excellent language skills in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
- Good computer skills in email, word processing, and worksheet navigation
