Role Purpose

To provide compassionate counselling support to students, develop wellbeing programs, and collaborate with staff and families to foster a positive school culture and ensure student social, emotional, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Counselling & Student Support

• Provide individual and group counselling support to students.
• Support students experiencing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
• Identify and refer students requiring specialist intervention.
• Develop student support plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.

Program Development & Delivery

• Develop and deliver wellbeing and social-emotional learning programs.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop student support plans.

Record Keeping & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records.
• Ensure all practices align with school safeguarding policies.

Culture & Environment

• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
• Professional counselling qualification or certification.
• 3+ years of experience as a school counsellor; international experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
