Role Overview
Sales Manager – GCC/Corporate/Government at Anantara Downtown Dubai. This role is based at Anantara Downtown Dubai and reports to the sales leadership team.

Role Purpose
To develop and implement strategic sales plans that achieve revenue goals and increase market share within the GCC, corporate, and government segments. This position manages existing relationships with key government entities, travel agents, corporate accounts, GSOs, and DMCs while driving new business development and upselling opportunities across the Anantara product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Knowledge
- Understand fully the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara brand and articulate this positioning effectively in the marketplace.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Anantara product and service offerings.
- Monitor products, services, rates, and new developments of key competitors.
- Stay aware of general industry trends.
- Approach personal sales activities from a strategic perspective, understanding the relative importance and priority of the current account base.
- Direct personal sales efforts according to strategic priorities.
Account Management & Development
- Continually review actual production of each account against its potential.
- Review suggestions for improvement with department leadership.
- Assertively establish new client contacts and develop detailed information on potential revenues from these accounts.
- Manage existing relationships with key government entities, travel agents, corporate accounts, GSOs, and DMCs.
- Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Anantara products.
Sales Performance & Planning
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and increase market share within the GCC and government segments.
- Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives in collaboration with department leadership.
- Actively participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows as required to meet hotel sales targets.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results and associated action planning.
- Ensure all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
- Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal procedures for approval of expenditure.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues.
- Provide support and information to ensure accurate delivery of brand promises.
Professional Development & Tools
- Take responsibility for professional development, ensuring financial literacy, negotiation, and face-to-face selling skills.
- Maintain full working knowledge of IT support tools used in sales, including sales-specific software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office toolset.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated track record of managing GCC leisure, corporate, and government segments.
- Excellent knowledge of the GCC market and government protocols.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluency in Arabic and English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently within GCC countries for business trips.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency with sales-specific software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office toolset.
