Sales Engineer

Role Overview

Sales Engineer at Al Shirawi Group, based in the UAE, responsible for selling water pipeline products including valves, pipeline fittings, and related mechanical solutions to contractors, government clients, and consultants in the water infrastructure sector.

Role Purpose

Drive revenue generation and market expansion by identifying sales opportunities, demonstrating products to clients, managing the sales pipeline from inquiry through contract signature, and maintaining customer relationships for repeat business and contract renewals.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Generate new business opportunities and meet assigned sales targets.
• Generate service enquiries through sales data received from region-wise sales teams, direct marketing, and references from existing customers.
• Respond to telephone enquiries received from magazine advertisements.
• Follow up on quotations to secure orders.
• Follow up with existing customers to establish new service contracts.

Client Engagement & Product Support

• Deliver product and service demonstrations to customers.
• Conduct site inspections and analyse equipment condition.
• Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and site assessments.

Contract & Account Management

• Follow up on contract signing with prospective clients.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Follow up on outstanding payments.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant sales engineering experience in the UAE.
• Mechanical Engineer qualification preferred.
• Experience handling water pipeline products such as valves, pipeline fittings, and related mechanical solutions.
• Established relationships with contractors, government clients, and consultants in the water infrastructure segment.
• Knowledge and experience with product prequalification, portal handling, and government processes are advantageous.
