Role Overview
Sales Associate at Apparel Group, representing the brand and maximizing store sales through exceptional customer service and retail experience.
Role Purpose
The position is responsible for representing the brand by maximizing and contributing to sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience, while performing operational duties such as store maintenance and visual presentation standards as assigned by store management.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right product.
- Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
- Serve customers with the highest standards following the company selling guideline: GUEST (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of various brands within the group for suggestive selling.
Merchandise & Visual Standards
- Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers and according to standard layout norms.
- Ensure all VM guidelines are followed and stock norms on clearance are maintained.
- Record inventory inward and outward and maintain reports.
Point of Sale & Cash Handling
- Handle the POS (Point of Sale) and billing counter efficiently.
- Tally money in the cash till at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
- Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
Store Operations & Compliance
- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness as assigned by store manager or assistant store manager.
- Ensure awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.
- Adhere to SOP and Loss Prevention Policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sales figures to outside parties.
- Ensure minimal stock loss through proper inventory management.
