Role Overview
Sales Associate at Apparel Group. The position represents the brand by maximizing sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience, while performing operational duties including store maintenance and visual presentation standards.
Role Purpose
Deliver exceptional customer service and retail experience to maximize store sales, convert shoppers into buyers, and maintain operational standards including inventory management, visual merchandising, and point-of-sale operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right product.
- Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
- Promote the Club AIVI Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
- Serve customers with the highest standards and follow the company selling guideline GUEST (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
- Maintain updated knowledge of the various brands within the group for suggestive selling.
Merchandise & Visual Standards
- Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers and according to standard layout norms.
- Ensure all VM (Visual Merchandising) guidelines are followed and all stock norms on clearance are maintained.
- Record inventory inward and outward and maintain reports.
- Ensure minimal stock loss through vigilant product knowledge.
Point of Sale & Transactions
- Handle the POS (Point of Sale) and billing counter efficiently.
- Tally money in the cash till during the beginning and end of shifts.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
- Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
Store Operations & Compliance
- Perform various operational duties such as store maintenance as assigned by store manager or assistant store manager.
- Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of store security without any negligence.
- Adhere to SOP and Loss Prevention Policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sales figures to outside parties.
- Be flexible to work varied shifts, extended hours during sale periods, and overtime as per business requirement.
