Sales Associate cum Cashier

Role Overview

Sales Associate cum Cashier at Al Futtaim, a leading regional conglomerate with over 90 years of heritage. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur and serves as the frontline ambassador for retail operations.

Role Purpose

Deliver exceptional customer service while managing point-of-sale transactions, maintaining store merchandising standards, and ensuring store excellence across assigned retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Build strong customer relationships through engaging communication and problem-resolution to drive loyalty and repeat business
• Process customer transactions including sales, exchanges, and refunds across multiple payment methods with accuracy and efficiency

Store Operations & Merchandising

• Manage assigned store sections with meticulous attention to merchandising standards, product displays, and inventory organization
• Maintain comprehensive stockroom organization and ensure timely replenishment of merchandise to support sales floor operations
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the shop floor, cash desk areas, and customer-facing spaces

Cash & Point-of-Sale Management

• Assume cashier responsibilities including opening and closing procedures and cover for senior cashier staff during their absence

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Proven retail or customer service experience in a fast-paced retail environment

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in cash handling, POS systems, and basic numeracy skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a customer-centric mindset
