Role Overview
Sales Associate at Apparel Group. The position is responsible for representing the brand by maximizing and contributing to sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience.
Role Purpose
Deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales growth while maintaining store operations, visual merchandising standards, and inventory management in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right product.
- Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
- Serve customers with the highest standards following the company selling guideline: GUEST (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across various brands in the group to enable suggestive selling.
Merchandise & Visual Presentation
- Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers and according to standard layout norms.
- Follow all visual merchandising guidelines and maintain stock norms on clearance items.
- Record inventory inbound and outbound transactions and maintain related reports.
- Ensure minimal stock loss through accurate inventory management.
Point of Sale & Cash Handling
- Handle the POS (Point of Sale) and billing counter efficiently.
- Tally money in the cash till at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
- Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
Store Operations & Security
- Perform various operational duties including store maintenance as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.
- Maintain awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention Policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sales figures from external parties.
Skills & Competencies
- Customer service excellence and sales ability.
- Product knowledge across multiple brands.
- Point of Sale (POS) system operation.
- Cash handling and basic mathematics.
- Visual merchandising understanding.
- Attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
Additional Information
- Must be presentable and well-groomed at all times.
- Flexible to work extended hours during sale periods.
- Flexible to work varied shifts and overtime as per business requirements.
