Role Overview
Sales Associate at Apparel Group. The position is responsible for representing the brand by maximizing and contributing to sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience.
Role Purpose
Deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales growth by engaging shoppers, promoting loyalty programs, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and executing efficient point-of-sale operations across varied shifts and business demands.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right product.
- Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
- Serve customers with the highest standards and follow the company guideline of selling (GUEST – Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of various brands within the group for suggestive selling to customers.
Merchandise & Visual Presentation
- Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers and in accordance with standard layout norms.
- Ensure all visual merchandising guidelines are followed and stock norms on clearance are maintained.
- Record inventory inward and outward and maintain reports of the same.
- Ensure minimal stock loss through vigilance and accurate record-keeping.
Operations & Point of Sale
- Handle the POS (Point of Sale) / Billing Counter efficiently.
- Tally money in the cash till during the beginning and end of shifts.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
- Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
- Handle store maintenance and visual presentation standards as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without any negligence.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention Policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sales figures to outside parties.
