Role Overview
Sales Administration Assistant at Smiths Detection, Smiths Group, Saudi Arabia. This is an individual contributor role providing sales administrative support for the Saudi Arabia market.

Role Purpose
The Sales Administration Assistant provides integral sales administrative support to Smiths Detection Saudi Arabia, ensuring smooth sales operations for security screening systems across assigned market verticals and territories.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Administration
- Support the Sales Manager with sales administration for new business with new and existing customers.
- Prepare commercial and technical responses for the assigned market vertical and territory, containing both qualitative and quantitative information.
- Deliver comprehensive information to the Sales Manager to support proposal submission for opportunities.
- Prepare quotations for customers and prospects.
- Contribute to major proposals for the territory.
- Arrange and conduct product demonstrations.
- Participate in trade exhibitions and conferences.
Market & Pipeline Development
- Develop proactive understanding of the market and business drivers.
- Provide strategic inputs, both qualitative and quantitative, to the Sales Manager.
- Actively participate in setting up the territory pipeline.
Order & Performance Management
- Track leads and opportunities to ensure timely follow-up actions and closure of pending items.
- Track order status, shipments, invoicing, and payment milestones to ensure smooth order execution.
- Monitor KPIs including order backlog, conversion rates, delivery timelines, and sales performance indicators.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Coordinate proactively across all departments to ensure smooth flow of business.
- Work closely with Programs and Service teams for smooth and profitable completion of opportunity deliverables.
- Participate in internal and external meetings.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver a high standard of work for new opportunities with focus on continuous improvement.
- Seek further areas of value add.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure the Smiths Code of Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics is upheld in all activities.
- Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
- Comply with company compliance and business ethics policy.
- Comply with all applicable export, import control and security regulations.
Training & Development
- Participate in product and sales skills training as required.
Additional Duties
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager not covered above.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not essential.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- SAP and Sales CRM experience preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years directly involved in sales administration.
- Prior knowledge of Smiths Detection products is an added advantage.
- Exposure in selling to customers in market segments such as Aviation, Ports & Borders, Urban Security and Defence.
- Experience within a process-driven and disciplined sales organization.
