Role in General Engineering (VUQ)

Role Overview

General Engineering role at Emaar, a hotel company. This position is responsible for maintenance and planning across the hotel to ensure full availability and serviceability of hotel facilities and to minimize disruption for guests.

Role Purpose

Oversee all repair work, preventative maintenance and reconstruction work to standard, ensure functional emergency recovery plans, and maintain hotel facilities at optimal operational capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Operations

• Conduct all operational tasks in the Engineering department in line with required service standards and procedures.
• Oversee all repair work, preventative maintenance and reconstruction work is completed to standard.
• Ensure functional emergency recovery plans are in place and operational.

Guest Service & Communication

• Go the extra mile where you can.
• Prevent complaints and ensure adequate service recovery where needed.
• Pro-actively communicate with fellow Ambassadors, always with the Guest's interests at heart.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Certification in Maintenance Engineering or related Technical field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a similar position in a 5-star hospitality company.
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance of Hotel assets.
