Risk Specialist (Q-TU)

Role Overview

Risk Specialist (Q-TU) at JASARA PMC. This role identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks associated with the company's programs and projects, contributing to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure programs aligned with Vision 2030.

Role Purpose

Play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the company's programs and projects. Your expertise in risk management will contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure programs that align with Vision 2030.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Leadership

• Champion "Safety First" value, specifically confident in enacting Stop Work authority.
• Engage in relevant health, safety, and wellbeing standards and behaviors.

• Manage, coach, and mentor junior staff to successfully contribute to department deliverables.

Risk Framework & Process

• Support implementation of risk management framework, procedures, templates, and processes.
• Seek continuous improvement of risk management systems.
• Create and maintain Risk Register, Risk Dashboard, and other reports as specified or ad hoc as required for assigned area of responsibility.
• Ensure appropriate risk data is captured and risk assessments are carried out on all aspects covering area of responsibility.
• Monitor compliance against best practice standards and codes, including auditing risk management plans, procedures, and processes.

Risk Assessment & Treatment

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments during project planning, design, and execution phases.
• Ensure risk treatment strategies are identified, monitored, and followed.
• Align response activities, appoint action owners, and regularly monitor progress.
• Identify and track changes to risk profile, personnel, work, or work environment that may change effectiveness of risk treatments.
• Facilitate assessment of potential impacts of identified risks.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Support monthly risk review meetings.
• Initiate and facilitate risk workshops with project teams to collect and record potential risks, issues, and their treatments.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk controls into project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Work with Project Managers to recognize opportunities and mitigations to minimize risk exposure.
• Collaborate across multiple departments in a team environment.

Data & Analytics

• Ensure high quality and standard of data is inputted to enable effective analytics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field; or Higher National Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience within a Developer, Contractor, or Consultant.
• Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred.
• Institute of Risk Management – Certified Risk Manager preferred.
• Project Management Institute – Risk Management Professional preferred.
