Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis seeks a Risk Manager to join the project team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate must have Aviation experience.

Role Purpose
Develop, implement and actively manage a comprehensive risk management process across the program. Ensure systematic identification, evaluation, management and communication of risks and opportunities to enable informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management Strategy & Planning
- Develop and monitor a risk issue and opportunity management process.
- Implement Risk Management Plan, Risk Log and associated governance process.
- Develop and maintain a risk matrix identifying dependencies and the impacts of not meeting scheduled dates.
Risk Identification & Monitoring
- Track significant risks to ensure that they are systematically identified, recorded, evaluated, actively managed and regularly re-evaluated.
- Identify, monitor and manage dependencies and resolve related issues.
- Identify and manage internal program-related risks.
- Identify and communicate inter-program or external risks.
- Monitor projects and ensure that an adequate and robust Risk Management process is under active management.
- Review and update Risk Log against Program Status Reports and Meetings.

- Identify opportunities to arrange and coordinate any necessary discussions and agreements to realise benefits.
Program & Project Oversight
- Provide accurate and timely management information on a regular basis on the status of various projects.
- Monitor progress and drive delivery of individual projects, challenging and accelerating these where appropriate.
- Enable management of risks and opportunities at the programme level.
- Drive commonality and coherence between various projects.
- Ensure the interdependencies between various projects is understood and managed.
Standards & Commercial Management
- Ensure appropriate standards are set and adhered to legally and commercially.
- Ensure the client is obtaining value for money through negotiations with suppliers.
Capability Development
- Develop the capacity of the client through the transfer of knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Implement best practice program, project and other management and administrative processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 to 15 years' experience in Risk Management.
- At least 3 years' experience as Risk Manager in Construction or Engineering industry.
- Experience in Aviation projects (required).
- Graduate in Engineering, Business or equivalent, or Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent.
- Risk Management qualification or equivalent (preferred).
- Understanding and experience of complex projects.
