Role Overview
Respiratory Therapist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA).
Role Purpose
Provide skilled respiratory care to patients of all ages—from infants to the elderly—across a variety of healthcare settings within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Treatment
- Deliver specialized respiratory care within established standards.
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory support including those in intensive care units.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and patient education plans.
- Administer oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and manage ventilators.
Diagnostic & Clinical Support
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as lung capacity and blood gas analysis.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on care planning and clinical decisions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and preventive care.
Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in reputable healthcare facilities.
