Resident Engineer – Iconic / Interchange / Special Stations at AtkinsRealis, based in the UAE. This role leads supervision and delivery of large-scale, iconic, and technically complex building projects across the region.

Role Purpose

To lead the supervision and delivery of major landmark and high-profile building developments, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, technical excellence, and timely project delivery. The role requires extensive expertise in luxury hotels, airports, landmark developments, museums, art galleries, cultural facilities, and prestigious mixed-use projects, with particular emphasis on architectural finishes, façade systems, cladding works, and coordination of complex building interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Construction Management

• Lead and manage all site supervision and construction management activities for major landmark and high-profile developments.
• Manage all on-site construction activities in accordance with approved design documents, specifications, quality standards, budgets, and project schedules.
• Oversee the execution of complex architectural, structural, MEP, façade, cladding, and fit-out works.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Provide technical leadership in the delivery of premium architectural finishes, specialist façade systems, curtain walling, cladding packages, and high-end interior fit-outs.
• Resolve complex technical and construction challenges associated with large-scale and architecturally significant projects.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to achieve seamless project execution.
• Act as the primary site representative and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and government stakeholders.
• Lead regular progress meetings, technical reviews, and executive-level presentations for clients and senior stakeholders.

Monitoring & Risk Management

• Monitor construction progress, identify risks and constraints, and implement effective mitigation measures.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, health and safety standards, and project quality management systems.
• Manage testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction supervision and project delivery.
• At least 8 years of experience in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager on large-scale landmark developments.
• Demonstrated track record delivering luxury hotels, airports, museums, art galleries, cultural facilities, iconic mixed-use developments, or other signature projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams on projects valued at AED 500M+ or equivalent large-scale developments.
• Strong understanding of UAE building regulations, authority approvals, and construction practices.
• Professional Engineer registration and relevant certifications will be an advantage.

Candidates should have successfully delivered one or more of the following project types: luxury 5-star and ultra-luxury hotels, international airports and aviation facilities, museums and cultural institutions, art galleries and exhibition spaces, landmark towers and iconic developments, signature mixed-use and hospitality projects, and major public buildings and special architectural structures.
