Role Overview

Research Assistant/Associate Professor position at the Centre of Medical and Bio-allied Health Sciences Research (CMBHSR), Ajman University. Full-time appointment effective Spring 2026/2027.

Role Purpose

Design, organize, and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments in your subject area using established and novel scientific protocols. Summarize findings and publish results in high-quality indexed research journals and conferences while providing supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Scholarship

• Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
• Seek internal and external funding through grant applications and collaborative research projects.
• Collaborate with faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Design and implement quantitative and qualitative research studies.
• Design and analyze experimental or observational studies.
• Demonstrate expertise in biostatistical analysis, including advanced statistical modeling and data interpretation.

Operations

• Schedule, organize, and report on the status of ongoing research activities.
• Prepare regular progress reports of tasks as per requirements.

Supervision & Mentoring

• Supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff members as appropriate.

Teaching

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Service

• Engage in departmental, college, and university service activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Pharmacy, Health Sciences, or a closely related field from a recognized and ranked institution (Top 200 institution preferred).
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research studies.
• Strong background in public health, regulatory science, or healthcare industries.
• Strong research record demonstrated through publications.
• Deep knowledge and experience in biostatistical analysis, including advanced statistical modeling and data interpretation.
• Proven ability to design and analyze experimental or observational studies.
• Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, R, SAS, or similar tools.
• Independence in prior research is highly desirable.
