Replacement Engineer

Role Overview

Replacement Engineer at Al Shirawi Group. The role focuses on HVAC design, equipment selection, cost estimation, and technical documentation to support sales and project delivery.

Role Purpose

Deliver heat load calculations, HVAC system design, equipment specifications, and technical submittals to enable accurate quotation, customer approval, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Calculations

• Perform heat load calculations and HVAC design when schedules are not provided by the customer.
• Conduct heat load calculations and HVAC design using AutoCAD or similar software.

Equipment Selection & Estimation

• Select equipment based on customer specifications and equipment schedules.
• Select fan models based on customer specification and equipment schedule.
• Perform cost estimation and prepare quotations.
• Quote equipment based on price list and cost sheet.

Quotation Management

• Follow up on quotations with customers and contractors.
• Prepare order estimation sheets and obtain approval from Sales Manager or Senior Manager.

Technical Documentation

• Prepare technical submittals based on contract specifications.
• Submit technical submittals to contractors or consultants for approval.
• Prepare project files and hand over to Sales Coordinator.

Customer Communication

• Send order acknowledgements to customers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation or post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience as an Application Engineer or in similar roles.
• Experience in sales support, including quotation creation and commercial understanding.

Skills & Competencies

• Understanding of HVAC systems and heat load calculations.
• HVAC design using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Technical submittal creation based on project specifications.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
