Role Overview
Repair and Maintenance Technician - Completion at Weatherford UAE, based in the United Arab Emirates.
Role Purpose
Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of completion tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness and reliability. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment testing, and accurate service documentation while complying with Weatherford procedures and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Inspection and Repair
- Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of completion tools and equipment.
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Safely handle, inspect, and maintain specialized completion equipment.
Maintenance Operations
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct equipment testing.
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment, including torque bucking units, pressure test bays, and other completion service equipment.
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare accurate service documentation.
- Comply with Weatherford procedures and HSE standards.
- Maintain basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of repair and maintenance experience, preferably with completion tools or oil and gas equipment.
- Experience operating and maintaining workshop equipment, including torque bucking units and pressure test bays.
- Ability to safely handle, inspect, and maintain specialized completion equipment.
