Repair and Maintenance Specialist III – Logging While Drilling Services (LWD) at Weatherford UAE. The role is based at the workshop with potential requirement to attend client locations as needed.

Role Purpose

Develop and implement reliability-based maintenance strategy using preventive and predictive maintenance approaches for LWD product line equipment. Work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable system and maintenance team while troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing field equipment and tools to mitigate asset-related non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment, utilizing both manual and computerized methods.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools.
• Implement mandatory modifications to equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Strategy and Planning

• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Develop reliability-based maintenance strategy based on preventive and predictive maintenance for the product line equipment.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.

Team and Training

• Work with Repair and Maintenance Technicians to schedule workload.
• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as needed.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.

Equipment Development and Improvement

• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by providing feedback and insights based on field experiences.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Professional Development

• Stay updated on technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• High Diploma with relevant experience.
• 5–7 years of related experience repairing and troubleshooting LWD sensors and DS tools.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capability.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
