Role Overview

Registered Nurse Paediatrics position in the Outpatient Department at King's College Hospital London, Marina Clinic.

Role Purpose

Provide professional nursing care to paediatric patients attending the outpatient facility, recording patient histories, performing diagnostic tests, administering medications, and developing patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Delivery

• Deliver a high standard of evidence-based care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs on an ongoing basis.
• Record patient histories and medical information.
• Perform diagnostic tests as required.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Develop patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment as required.

Communication & Family Engagement

• Provide regular and accurate updates to patients and their relatives, ensuring communication is sensitive and easy to understand.
• Support patients, caregivers, and families by involving them in the care process where appropriate.
• Provide health education to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Ensure that relevant information regarding patient condition and care is communicated clearly to the multidisciplinary team.

Standards & Compliance

• Adhere to Dubai Health Authority guidelines and all relevant regulatory standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, ensuring dignity, privacy, cultural, and religious beliefs are respected.
• Uphold high standards of care across all outpatient services.

Organizational Support

• Work flexibly across the organization to maintain safe staffing levels or as part of professional development needs identified in the appraisal process.

Qualifications & Experience

• UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a paediatric hospital or similar setting.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
