Registered Nurse - Homecare

Role Overview

Registered Nurse - Homecare at NMC Healthcare. This role delivers nursing care to patients in home and community settings.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to homecare patients across diverse clinical needs, from acute conditions to long-term support, while maintaining clear communication with physicians, families, and the care team.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Monitoring

• Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormal values to treating physicians.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems to report and discuss observations with a supervisor, case manager, or Medical Doctor.
• Report and record medical events, procedures, and other medical parameters.

Patient Care Delivery

• Administer prescribed medications.
• Monitor intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
• Deliver nursing care to clients with Tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy.
• Carry out nursing care for clients with Pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator.
• Deliver nursing care to clients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell's palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly patients.
• Care for newborns, pre- and post-partum mothers.
• Care for clients who are physically challenged and those requiring special care at home or at their educational facility.
• Deliver simple exercises, help with ambulation, and accompany clients to social gatherings, hospitals, other treatment facilities, and outdoors.
• Care for patient wounds to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers.

Communication & Coordination

• Prepare clinical and progress notes.
• Coordinate services and work as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client's condition and family members.
• Counsel clients and families in meeting nursing and related needs.

Training & Supervision

• Participate in in-service programs.
• Supervise and teach other nursing personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country.
• 2 to 5 years working experience as Registered Nurse.
• Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment.
• Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.

Additional Information

• Active Basic Life Support training required.
• Critical care qualification preferred.
• Pediatric qualification preferred (for pediatrics RN).

• PALS preferred (for pediatric patients).
• Teaching and assessing preferred.
