Role Overview
Registered Nurse at NMC Healthcare. This role delivers comprehensive nursing care across clinical settings, managing patient assessment, treatment delivery, and care coordination.
Role Purpose
To provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels and complex medical needs, including post-operative, chronic, pediatric, and home care populations. The role ensures continuity of care through clear documentation, effective communication with clinical teams, and patient and family education.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Assessment
- Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormal values to the treating physician.
- Administer prescribed medications.
- Monitor intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
- Deliver nursing care to clients with pacemakers, peritoneal dialysis, and those on ventilators.
- Care for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy.
- Deliver nursing care to clients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell's palsy, cerebral palsy, terminal illness, and elderly populations.
- Care for newborns and pre- and post-partum mothers.
- Care for physically challenged clients and those requiring special care at home or in educational facilities.
- Care for patient wounds to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers.
Patient Support & Rehabilitation
- Deliver simple exercises and assist with ambulation.
- Accompany clients to social gatherings, hospitals, other treatment facilities, and outdoor activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare clinical and progress notes.
- Report and record medical events, procedures, and other medical parameters.
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems.
- Report and discuss observations with a supervisor, case manager, or Medical Doctor.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate services and act as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client's condition and family members.
- Counsel clients and family members in meeting nursing and related needs.
- Participate in in-service programs.
- Supervise and teach other nursing personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years working experience as a Registered Nurse.
Certification & Licensure
- Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment.
- Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.
- Active Basic Life Support training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical care qualification.
- Pediatric qualification (for pediatrics RN).
- ACLS (for adult patients).
- PALS (for pediatric patients).
- Teaching and assessing qualification.
