Recreation Coordinator – Wynn Oasis at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027, located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center. This role supports the Staff Housing team.

Role Purpose

Plan, organize, and oversee all recreational events and activities within the staff housing facility, ensuring exceptional experiences that promote community, well-being, and a healthy lifestyle while maintaining Wynn's standards of elegance and luxury.

Key Responsibilities

Recreation Programming & Events

• Plan, organize, and oversee all recreational events and activities within the housing facility, including sports events, fitness programs, wellness activities, and entertainment events.
• Operate entertainment facilities including game rooms, movie theatre, and karaoke room.
• Develop and implement programs to engage tenants in recreational activities, promoting a sense of community and well-being.
• Ensure events are geared towards creating a healthy lifestyle for tenants.
• Promote a sense of elegance and luxury in all recreational activities and events.

Facilities & Operations

• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all recreational facilities, including gymnasiums, sports arenas, game rooms, and entertainment areas.

Partnerships & Coordination

• Work closely with various departments and external vendors to coordinate events and activities, ensuring a seamless experience for tenants.
• Partner with nutritionists to enhance tenant well-being.

Budget Management

• Manage budgets for recreational activities and events, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all recreational activities and facilities comply with safety standards and regulations.

Continuous Improvement

• Gather feedback from tenants on recreational activities and use it to continuously improve the programs offered.

Culture & Engagement

• Foster resilience, a sense of pride, and engagement among tenants, aligning with Wynn's goal of being the best.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or recreation industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire trust and confidence.
• Excellent organizational and event planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external vendors.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to deal with problems involving guests and operational issues while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work proficiently within a team environment and be disciplined to work without constant guidance and supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.

Additional Information

• Must be available to work all shifts including day, swing, and overnight, and be able to flex schedule based on business demands.
• Salary paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
